Incumbent will support the Traditional Casualty Facultative Underwriting Team, by providing office support to managers tasked with efficiently managing a book of business. Job requirements include but are not limited to the following:
Input new and renewal business into internal systems.
Assist underwriters, as needed, in data gathering and report preparation.
Work closely, and trouble shoot, with Accounting, Claims and Systems departments.
Prepare reinsurance binders and certificates for underwriting team as needed.
Process endorsements. Cite changes and/or making corrections to accounts in internal systems.
Allocate policies and underwriting documentation/approvals on all accounts written by underwriting team.
Maintain/Update online diary system to ensure proper file maintenance for all business written by the Facultative Team.
Minimum 1-2 years of related experience in the Insurance or Reinsurance Industry
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly in a high volume, time sensitive and paperless environment.
Proficiency in Word and Excel required, PowerPoint desirable.
Some college is desirable
Candidate must be dependable, have good interpersonal relations skills, and must be customer focused.
