Aon is looking for a Management Liability Underwriting Professional!Join our team and get results for clients, brokers/agents and partners as an Aon Affinity Management Liability Underwriter. This position will lead underwriting strategy and execution of a start-up cannabis Management Liability insurance program, as a member of the program leadership team.\\ This recently launched program is backed by Aon Affinity and Aon Programs, an industry-leading platform of Programs and MGUs serving a variety of specialty insurance niches. The position will be in one of our Aon Affinity hubs - Chicago, Washington DC or Philadelphia - or virtual.Duties and Responsibilities:Day-to-day accountability for development and underwriting a growing book of business for a small to large private companies in the cannabis industryPartner with sales, marketing, and leadership to support the development of new businessCollect information from brokers, analyze and select risks for quotationPrepare and deliver quote proposals and answer questions about coverage and terms, as neededAssure new and renewal proposals and policy issuance are within targeted timelinesProvide servicing to include binders, mid-term endorsements, certificates of insurance, policy renewals, etc.Review and analysis of policy claims experienceMaintain insured files and clearly and appropriately document account to ensure adherence to Program standardsBuild and maintain ongoing relationships with carrier partners, including leading referrals as necessary.Develop and cultivate good working relationships with brokers, and other distribution sources.Prepare and provide required program reporting.Collaborate with the carrier regarding portfolio management and steering.Keep up with changes in the insurance market and in clients' industries and propose product improvements, as needed.Provide thought leadership as the ‘face’ of the program - where applicableIdentify and implement continuous improvement of underwriting operations and processesRequirements:Minimum 3-5 years Management Liability insurance underwriting experienceExperience in underwriting private company Management Liability - is a plusExperience in the E&S markets, understanding state regulations is - a plusExperience in the Cannabis (recreational or medicinal where legal), understanding state regulations is a plus but not requiredP&C License Required or must acquire within 6 monthsStrong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)Excellent communication skills - verbal and writtenDiligent with strong problem-solving skillsSelf-starterMinimum Education:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent property and casualty knowledge preferred We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization. The salary range for this position is $90,00-110,000 annually (w/ a 15% target bonus). This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
