Chubb Group of Insurance Company's Small

Commercial Technology underwriting team is seeking a passionate Technology Production

Underwriter, focused on emerging technology enterprises with revenues less than

$10,000,000.

The role will report to the Vice President

of Technology Small Commercial.

Job Summary:

This position is

primarily responsible for generating profitable Technology

and Life Sciences

business from an assigned group of Agents/Brokers, working in

conjunction with the local Small Commercial sales organization and larger Chubb

Technology Division.

Production Underwriter will underwrite and

manage a broad scope of products, including Chubb’s Tech Bop, Umbrella, Commercial

Auto, Workers Compensation, Technology E&O & Cyber.

Production Underwriter is the subject matter expert for the Technology

Industry.

and Life Sciences

Production Underwriter is highly customer focused and can

train/educate agents and customers on how best to protect their business.

MAJOR

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:   

Work closely with CHUBB

Small Commercial underwriting, sales and product staff to promote small

commercial products and capabilities.

Working with the local

Sales organization, executes CHUBB agency management strategies specific to

Technology, developing and managing local key strategic relationships in order

to achieve production and profit metrics.

Identifies new customers

through effective pipelining, pre-qualification, and territory

analysis/management.

Exhibit's a thorough understanding

of local Technology industry marketplace and trends, CHUBB capabilities within

the geography, and corporate vision. 

Develops and executes

recommendations to profitably capture market share across assigned geography.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Experienced candidate can

demonstrate a track record of success, has strong underwriting and point of

sale competencies, and can work independently within current level of

underwriting authority.

Minimum of 3-5 years of

multi-line underwriting experience within the Technology

and Life Sciences

Segment and possess some knowledge of policy issuance and

processing center workflows.

Strong sales,

communication and marketing skills are critical; must be able to demonstrate

success with managing tight time frames, high volumes of work, direct agency

relationships and positioning Chubb’s strengths within the commercial lines

arena.

Candidate will need a

proficient background in risk analysis especially in Technology Errors &

Omissions insurance. Knowledge and proficiency with technical issues,

compliance, coverage, products and pricing strategies.

Demonstrated ability to

achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual production goals.

4 year college degree

preferred; professional designations such as CIC and CPCU

Negotiation, relationship

building, & influence skills and a creative approach to challenges and

opportunities.
