Our Coeur d'Alene Consumer Lending Department is looking for a Jr. Consumer Loan Underwriter who will be responsible for evaluating non real estate consumer loan applications following industry and business unit standards. Using an automated loan system and traditional underwriting, is responsible for approving or denying consumer loans within certain lending limits. Responsible for managing the loan structure and loan pricing decisions on non real estate loans. Underwrite, decision and prepare for closing all new non real estate applications in adherence to the turn time standards established. 2. Ensure all underwriting and decision processes meet established deadlines 3. Communicate with management, loan servicing and other lending personnel regarding all issues and results to help ensure standard turn times are met. 4. Counsel lenders on the proper structuring of loans 5. Provide assistance in the training of bank personnel on Consumer Lending related issues 6. Will perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Consumer Loan Manager 7. Physical Demands Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing \/ descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
