Title Insurance Agency seeking a Residential Underwriter to underwrite and process policy documents with relative speed and a high level of accuracy, in addition to other related administrative duties.
Understand underwriting principles and obtain title insurance license.
Work with attorneys to prepare title insurance documents with relative speed and a high level of accuracy
Process an acceptable number of policies, binders, and other policy documents during normal work hours.
Understand Title Policy Software and Intranet searches for prior title information and assist attorneys and paralegals contacting the office.
Understanding of the various forms and procedures utilized in the office.
Understanding premium quoting and assist in the quotation of premiums for attorneys/paralegals contacting the office.
Understand and issue from attorney and lender requests, endorsements, Insured Closing Letters, etc.
Communicate in a professional, courteous, and pleasant manner with clients and other employees on the telephone, emails and in personal interactions.
Assist with any other duties as deemed appropriate and requested by the manager.
Good computer skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Good organizational and prioritization skills.
Prior real estate related experience preferred.
Completion of high school education or equivalent.
