Job Description

Our Middle Market department is seeking a/an Sales Underwriter to join our growing team in our Maine bramch office.

Commercial Lines Middle Market Sales Underwriters are responsible for driving Middle Market production and profitability by primarily focus:

*

New Business production, Middle Market Renewals, representing and coordinating opportunities across the Commercial Lines franchise including Emerging Businesses, Agency/Producer Management and Niche Underwriting for applicable partner agents.

This is a Full-time, Exempt role.

Position Requirements

Identify, solicit, underwrite and sell new Middle Market accounts that align with Industry Segments, Niche and General Accounts appetite and mix goals.

Accountable for managing the P&L for assigned portfolio.

Manages portfolio mix in accordance with corporate and branch mix targets.

Operates within scope of Letter of Authority for all underwriting decisions.

Manages New Business pipeline to ensure a steady stream of targeted business opportunities and supports planning activities and relationship expectations.
