Aon is looking for a Broker IAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our finance business group within Aon Risk Solutions in Chicago, IL.  Your impact as a Broker IJob Responsibilities:Perform the services of an Insurance Broker for Property, Casualty, Worker’s Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, Excess, and Foreign Package policies.Advise and complete the placement of new and renewal P&C programs including crafting submissions.Executing placements within required timeframes and servicing those placements including their renewals.Analyze and review insurance programs for clients to determine optimum program including pricing, terms and conditions for both new and renewal business.Help with the development of new and innovative solutions for the Middle Market clients/industryDevelop and maintain positive relationships with the carriers and underwriters.Mentor and help develop associate brokers on the team.Work as a team member and collaborate with other colleagues within the Aon team.Knowledge of Benchmarking and Loss Analysis.5-10 years of relevant insurance P&C business experienceProven knowledge of Casualty (Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess) and Property coverages.Strong understanding of Middle Market P&C risks and carrier appetites.Broad relationships with the carriers that write Middle Market P&C business.Outstanding Microsoft Suite and presentation skills.You Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired Experience:Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, exceptional organizational skills, ability to make and communicate difficult decisions.Minimum of 3 - 5 years of financial lines insurance brokerage and/or underwriting experience with a concentration on Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices, Fiduciary, Crime and Special Risk.Effective working knowledge of carrier underwriting practices & processes.Proven leadership skills in working with teams and ability to work with clients and to successfully exceed client expectations.Proven client facing skills including effective presentations & communications.Proven organization and ability to work with others.Experience in resource deployment and utilization management.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels.Successfully operates in a fast-paced driven environment that requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Sales experience preferred and finance background a plus.Must maintain appropriate broker’s license.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products Preferred Experience: Education:Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experienceWe offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.  SalaryThe target salary range for this position in Chicago is $90,000 to $115,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
