Experience in on-shore energy field helpful. The right candidate will also have good leadership skills and the ability to mentor other underwriters.

·         10 years of Property and Casualty Underwriting experience
·         Excellent written and oral communication skills
·         Excellent customer service skills
·         Property and Casualty technical insurance knowledge
·         Proven track record of excellent sales and marketing skills to solicit and generate new business
·         Ability to multitask
·         Excellent organizational and planning skills
·         Results oriented with a focus on quality and quantity of work performed
·         Ability to work with little supervision
·         Excellent computer skills
·         Ability to take on projects as assigned by management
·         Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
·         Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations
·         Strong analytical and judgment skills; excellent problem solving ability
·         Ability to maintain production, loss ratio and servicing standards prescribed by underwriting authority contracts and corporate standards
·         Ability to review new and renewal submissions for guideline acceptability.
·         Must be able to underwrite, price risks, and communicate quotes to Producers, securing the best terms and conditions for accounts.
·         Must be able to competently review policies for correct information and proper coverage.
·         Responsible for regular and ad hoc reports to Underwriting or program authorities and corporate staff
·         Willingness to take insurance and personal developmental courses on a regular basis
·         College degree preferred, preferably in insurance or business
·         Ability to do some business travel
